“Henri Cartier Bresson in Oltenia -May 7, 1975. Photos by Victor Boldâr” The exhibition presents a series of 50 black and white photos, taken during the visit of the famous French photographer Henri Cartier Bresson (1908-2004) in Oltenia, with Martine Franck. Madeon May 7, 1975 in Craiova, Ramnicu-Valcea and in other places in Oltenia, the images not only document the places visited by the two famous photographers, but also a surprising and dramatic picture of Romania during communism. The photographer, Victor Boldâr (n.1935) was part of a group of artists and photographers who accompanied the visit of the French guests in Oltenia.

Picture of a celebrity, Digital Photo Contest Cluj-Napoca Museum of Art and Art Company Act launches a digital photo contest open to amateur photographers of all ages. Photos of a resolution of between 3 and 5 megapixels should be sent up to May 11, 2011 to the email address: concurs.macn@yahoo.com A jury will select the best 12 photos submitted. They will be printed on paper and exhibited at the Art Museum between May 14 and June 12 this year. The author of the best photo will be awarded a digital camera.

The exhibition opening and presentation of awards will be held on the occasion of the Night of Museums on 14 May, 8.00 pm
