The exhibition of documents entitled “Viaţa urbană în Moldova şi Muntenia, 1830-1916 [Urban Life in Moldavia and Wallachia, 1830-1916]” aims to emphasize the urban development along the period between 1830 and 1916. It approaches various subjects such as: the expansion of the urban area; architecture and town planning; works of modernization; urban activities; institutions; the opening of the public space; social representations. It exposes acts issued by the authorities, documents of private persons, maps, city plans, lithographies, photos, and so on. The exhibition is completed by several documentary films.
