Collection of Pharmacy History Event title: Night of Museums The museum will open the permanent exhibition at the Collection of Pharmacy History section, with free professional guidance. The Collection of Pharmacy History is housed in the Hintz building, the eldest apothecary’s shop in Cluj - La Sfântul Gheorghe / At Saint George - first opened in 1573. The preserved documents illustrates the chemists activity in Transylvania between XVIth and XXth century. The most valued objects were originally part of the collection of professor Iuliu Orient (1869-1940); collection first shown in 1904 at the Ardeal Museum and updated ever since.

Turnul Croitorilor / Tailors Tower Cluj-Napoca Event title: Transylvania Principality and its princes in the watercolour collection of the National Museum of Transylvania History The exhibition Transylvania Principality and its princes in the watercolour collection of the National Museum of Transylvania History, hosted at the Tailors Tower (Center for Urban Culture), contains reproductions after the very fragile original watercolour. The originals date back into the XIXth century and represent the princes of Transylvania in official attire with the political and religious symbols of their power. To further evoke the atmosphere of that era, the museum has XVIth and XVIIth original objects on display.
