The exhibition “Journey in oil geology” will bring to public attention remarkable objects from museum heritage, trying to outline geological map of the Romanian oil industry between 1882 -1948. Maps and geological sections of the original old oil and gas sites, photo albums from geological campaign in the country and abroad, outstanding photos of specialists in the field of geology, courses taught in profile schools by well-known geologists, documents and specialized publications, images with new oil fields after performing geological researches will be on display. Among the personalities presented we can mention Gregoriu Stefanescu, Grigore Cobalcescu, Ludovic Mrazec, Gheorghe Munteanu-Murgoci, Ion Popescu-Voitesti, George Macovei, Valeriu Patriciu. Visitors could be interested in the remarkable materials exhibited like the first geological map of oil areas in Romania (1905), the “Geological Map of Great Romania” -1920, “Geology and Mineralogy Course at the National School of Bridges and Highways” (summary), taught by Dr. George Macovei, 1912 - 1913, the Statute of the Romanian Geology Society - 1930, Year Books and Memoirs of Geological Institute of Romania.
