Free access For the Night of Museums 2012, the Romanian Navy Museum offers the visitors the chance to take part in an extraordinary adventure through the history of Romanian navigation. The specialists working for our institution will guide the visitors during a trip on the waves of the Black Sea and the Danube river, descovering the misteries of the Argonauts and admiring Greek, Roman and Byzantine ships, redescovering the personality of Mircea cel Batran whose kingdom streched all the way to the Big Sea, while learning about Steven the Great and his Moldavian ship which sailed all the way to the Mediterranean Sea. Our trip will end in recent history, celebrating the Military Navy and the Romanian Naval Forces, as well as the Commercial Navy. To help the public embrace the atmosphere, the Naval Forces Orchestra will perform for our visitors between 8 pm and 10 pm.
