The National Museum of Eastern Carpathians invites you to visit two european renowened exhibitions in Sfântu Gheorghe. These are „The first Romanian school in Sfântu Gheorghe” and the exhibition of archeology „Prehistorical settlement Păuleni - Ciuc Dâmbul Cetăţii”, at the headquarter of Sfântu Gheorghe Museum. The concept of redecorating the exhibition space of the National Museum of Eastern Carpathians intended to valorize the national patrimony owned and its orientation towards the public. In order to adapt to the background we live in, the museum must become a live place, interactive and confortable for the visitor. We tried to create a story around every museum piece so every visitor, even the uninformed one, can understand the cultural message and frame the exibit in its place in history. Visitors can chose the level of information they want to access through video projections and the interactive devices destined to render the information.

The archeology exhibition- Prehistorical settlement Păuleni - Ciuc “Dâmbul Cetăţii” The exhibition presents archeological relics, reenactments of dwellings, complex rituals, fireplaces, ovens destined to burn the ceramics and a stratigraphic profile of the dig, along with explanations concerning the specific of the cultures they belong to. The dig is situated near the village Şoimeni, township Păuleni-Ciuc, county Harghita, in the place the locals call Dâmbul Cetăţii.
