Free access The Silenus from Tibiscum was discovered in the ancient settlement of Tibiscum, which is on E70, at 6 km from Caransebeş. On the Romanian territory 5 amphitheatres were discovered and no Roman theatre. This Silenus might confirm the existence of an ancient theatre in Tibiscum. The representation is directly connected to Dionysus or Bacchus, the god of vegetation, wine and euphoric sensations. Dionysus was celebrated in feasts were sileni, satyrs and dancers took part, as the legend says. Thus, we will organize a theatre play that will represent a bacchanal and an exhibition devoted to Roman settlement from Tibiscum.
