The National Museum of Eastern Carpathians invites everyone to visit its exquisite exhibitions, that harmoniously combine the characteristics of new technologies and scientific information, obtained as a result of the latest researches covering several different domains. In 2014 we host for the 7th time the Night of Museums in Sf. Gheorghe, offering free access to all our exhibitions and activities.

„The Păuleni Ciuc - Dâmbul Cetăţii prehistoric settlement” archaeological exhibition The prehistoric world seen for the first time in 3D! The exhibition presents archaeological finds, reconstructions of dwellings, ritual complexes, fire hearts, ovens for burning pottery and a stratigraphic profile of the archaeological site, with all the necessary explanations regarding the prehistoric cultures that inhabited the site. The archaeological site is found nearby Şoimeni village, Păuleni-Ciuc commune, Harghita County, in a place known as Dâmbul Cetăţii - The Fortress’s Hill. “Touch the history – The Păuleni Ciuc Dâmbul Cetăţii prehistoric settlement” tactile exhibition

Gheorghe, Covasna County The First Romanian School from Sf. Gheorghe was first mentioned in a document in 1799. Today it awaits its visitors in a reconstructed 19th century classroom, where we can all become a small part of history. The school benches invite us to sit down in front of the teacher and his blackboard and write down our own notes with chalk on small tablets.

The house of his parents reconstructs not only the feeling of the writer’s childhood years but hosts, as well, his original study room.
